Where Shall We Go?

Come explore with me!

COMING SOON:   the Gulf of America.

It's official:  I LOVE FLORIDA!  I have been on both sides of the state and the Gulf of America is truly a national treasure.  With it's soft sandy beaches, quaint tourism, delicious restaurants and shopping galore, a trip to the Gulf is just what the mental health doctor ordered.  It is much like plugging in your electronic devices.  Recharge, refresh and reactivate!  Check out the pictures below!  What a wonderful trip to Cape Coral Florida and I highly recommend the Birria Pizza at Clase Azul, the black grouper caught fresh at Pinchers Restaurant, Siesta Key Beach for surf and sand therapy, and Home Rental Systems of Florida, Inc.  The Air BnB was fantastic, offering 4 spacious bedrooms, well equipped kitchen, onsite dock fishing complete with rods and tackle, inground pool with screened lanai, a "dive in" theater and convenient location.

Destination:  Hollywood Beach, Florida

Want a delightful historic beachfront destination?  Just a short Uber drive away form Miami to the south and Fort Lauderdale to the north, Hollywood Beach is nestled in between, expanding your experience by two.  Founded in 1921, Hollywood Beach hosted the "Grand Lady" Resort, which boasted 500 rooms and the world's largest solartarium at the time. Known as "Hollywood by the Sea", the beach offers a 2.5 mile long boardwalk, right on the Atlantic Ocean shore, and offers tons of shopping and dining options, including an outdoor venue for live music and concerts.  The area also offers over 60 parks and over 7 miles of beautiful shoreline.  Hollywood Beach Florida is a great southern Florida destination for a short getaway or an extended stay.  It gives the feel of old Florida with the added feature of the warmth of southern Florida's Atlantic coast. With its close proximity to Miami and Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood Beach makes a nice vacation spot to for exploring nearby cities.  I give Hollywood Beach Florida a 9 out of 10.

What's Cookin' Food Review:

Clase Azul, in Cape Coral, Florida, is such a fun and colorful restaurant. The Red Snapper was delectable, presented in it's entirety, deep fried and extremely flaky and moist.  The Pizza Birria was exquisite, very large and reheated wonderfully the next day for lunch.  Absolutely some of the finest Mexican food I've ever enjoyed, and the atmosphere at the restaurant was top notch.

HIFI Music Review: Summer Concert Series.

I enjoyed the musical groupings of ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd at the Ruoff Music Amphitheater in beautiful midwestern Noblesville Indiana.  It was a spectacular mishmash of La Grange and Freebird.  Skynyrd paid homage to their band brother, Gary Rossington.  Gary was the last surviving member of the original lineup of the band, and his presence was made known through big screen home videos and footage of the years Gary kept the southern rock vibe alive.  In all of southern rock history, Lynyrd Skynryd is one name that can never be forgotten.  Beloved by millions, the spirit of southern rock is hard pressed to be surpassed, and with lighters and cell phones raised, the entire night sky was lit up with the lyrics, "Fly high, freebird, yeah!" .  ZZ Top had started the night out right, with hard rockers like Just Got Paid and Sharp Dressed Man, and Billy Gibbons joined in the Skynyrd lineup to add more snazz and boogie to an already spectacular musical event.  What a show!  5 stars out of 5.
